Purity and potency ask how much of the target peptide a sample actually contains, and how that figure is measured. This pillar explains what an HPLC area-percent purity result does and does not prove, why identity confirmation by mass spectrometry is a separate question from purity, and how content and net peptide mass differ from the single percentage most buyers focus on. A high number on a certificate means little without the method that produced it.
